Hodge & Langley Law Firm is proud to be a sponsor – and participant – in this year’s Mighty Moo Festival Golf Tournament in Cowpens, S.C. Look for Ryan Langley out on the course as he and others compete as part of this annual tournament to support local charities.
The tournament starts Friday, June 16, at 9:30 a.m. at Woodfin Ridge Golf Club in Inman, S.C. Golfers have to donate $15 for red tees and mulligans, but they can also win prizes for playing well.
Proceeds from the golf tourament will benefit two great causes: District 3 Blessings in a Backpack, which coordinates communities and resources to provide food on weekends to elementary-school children who might otherwise go hungry; and the Marcus Lattimore Foundation and its D.R.E.A.M.S. Scholarships, which support youth programs that emphasize Christian values, character, life skills, education, health and wellness.
The golf tournament is a part of the 40th annual Mighty Moo Festival, a celebration that serves as a reunion opportunity for crewmembers of the USS Cowpens CVL25 who served in WWII and those from the USS Cowpens CG63, which is currently serving in the U.S. Navy’s fleet – but it’s also as a chance for locals and visitors to celebrate history and have a good time. The weekend includes street dances, a beauty pageant, a parade, an arts and crafts festival, food vendors, carnival games and much more. The festival will be held this year June 14-17 at venues around the town of Cowpens, S.C.
